Every step of the visit with Dr. Karen is complemented with vivid colors, exploratory games, playful costume design sunglasses, colorful toothbrushes and many flavor options customized to each child’s preference, as well as educational visuals for our littles and their parents. Dr. Karen’s charm and animated approach, along with her engagement with parents and their littles, allows her to be playful and approachable. Let's not forget her love of swag that ends the festivities!
Beyond the esthetics and environment, as a
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Karen is well educated in the unique needs at all growth stages from newborns, infants, toddlers, school-age children, tweens, and adolescents! The dental specialty of Pediatric Dentistry extends an additional two to three years beyond dental school education, focusing on Pediatric Growth & Development, Early & Comprehensive Orthodontic Interventions, Behavior Management & Desensitization, and much more.
Dr. Karen is an avid learner and is exceptionally well versed in all things pediatric dentistry. She is committed to advancing the practice of Pediatric Dentistry by implementing the latest in science and evidence-based interventions currently at the forefront of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Karen maintains herself abreast of advanced treatments for best predictable outcomes while remaining exceptionally conservative and mindful to maintain an Airway-Centric Pediatric Growth & Development practice for optimal health of her littles!
Community Involvement
Here at CCPD, we roll up our sleeves and engage in our community! We are hugely involved in fundraising for our local schools, often in collaboration with nearby small businesses as a win-win for all. We support local runs, annual auctions, school directories and PTA events.

It has always been said by Dr. Karen that it is an honor and a privilege to be a Pediatric Dentist. As primary caretakers of the youngest, we are focused on providing promising experiences for a lifelong appreciation of optimal oral and systemic health. As your Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Karen emphasizes strong parent engagement of all these experiences — and boy is it an experience here at Chevy Chase Pediatric Dentistry! Our practice recognizes that positive early dental experiences can lead to a lifetime of excellent oral health. From infancy through late adolescence, we seek to establish a familiarity with oral health practices, and us as providers, that carry confidently into their adult lives. It is important to Dr. Karen that her patients, and their families, feel at home in her office and with her fabulous team.

Dr. Karen offers virtual meetings for new patients every Friday morning from 9:30-11:30 for 20-minute sessions for families considering Dr. Karen as the ideal Pediatric Dentist for their family!
