Good Oral Care Habits Start At Home
When we first meet families in the office, we like to understand their home care routine. We ask parents if they brush and floss for their kid's teeth. While most children are brushing their teeth, not many are flossing. In general we recommend brushing and flossing twice a day.
It is critical to fully engage with Dr. Karen and your hygienist during your child's regular six month exam and cleaning. Each age group has unique needs and the development of their oral hygiene skills can vary. Having parental involvement during my exams is critical in gaining confidence in the process!
